My Background:

My name is Chris Patterson and I’m the owner of Resolving Surfaces a consulting company for building owners & facility managers on available options with existing surfaces. To replace or resurface/refinish.

I also started Coatings Maven, a company that advises & coaches coating contractors who are just getting started or looking to expand their services. Additionally, we assist contractors & architects during the Prebid phase of projects.

I’m just shy of two decades of applying, project management, working with architects on developing specifications, and sales in the coatings field. I’m a AMPP Coatings Inspector (formerly NACE), and I’ve worked for companies that have either manufactured, sold, or applied both epoxy & polyurea based products. I’ve seen the good, the bad, the right place & the wrong place scenarios in the coatings field. I’m still learning & seeking more knowledge and understanding every chance I get. Be cautious with anyone still active in this industry that isn’t, or has stopped.
